Northbourne Youth Initiative’s aim is to offer children and young people 8-25 years a range of opportunities to further their personal experience and social development. We are a neighborhood based project working with children and young people in and around Elswick and the West End of the city. We provide a wide range of activities for children and young people to engage in from play, gaining certificates, camping, cooking, The Duke of Edinburgh Award and fun leisure activities.
The project has allowed me to become a lot more confident young person, I can now easily communicate better with people of all ages. The project has supported me through exam stress and gave me supportive advice regarding university.
