A Warm Welcome to Barbare from Georgia

Hello,

I am Barbare from Tskaltubo, a small lovely town in Georgia and I am doing my European Voluntary Service in Northbourne since the 25th of June.

I came to the UK in October 2017 and after being introduced to the people, the culture and even a bit of the Geordie dialect I can say that I have fallen in love with this country and its people.

My country of origin is in the Caucasus region of Eurasia, right on the crossroads between Europe and Asia.

Georgia is a very small country, but nevertheless there are many magnificent places worth to visit in any season of the year. Besides that, the people are very hospitable and kind.

Before getting the opportunity to come to the UK as an EVS volunteer, I finished my university degree in law. Apart from this I have always been actively involved in many social activities and international projects.

I am really happy to be volunteering in Northbourne with my lovely colleagues and the amazing kids and young people.
